Does your child need help with math? I usually assess students two grades back and then one grade back to look for any knowledge gaps. I try filling in those knowledge gaps before moving on to grade-level material. I feel it is impossible to learn new math effectively if a strong foundation is not there.

My personalized tutoring sessions consist of math facts practice and a structured lesson plan with teacher-led to student-led practice. I try my best to teach math in multiple ways to cater to different learning styles (visual, auditory, written, and kinesthetic). I also try to demonstrate teaching math the traditional way and the common core way.
